Thursday, September 18, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
NEW HYBRID FORMAT, with in-person and virtual participation
For those able to participate in person, on September 18 at 7:00 PM we will gather at a WHA board member's home to display and taste your gelatinous creations, and there will be an informal party afterward to award prizes and celebrate the winners. If you cannot attend for any reason but still want to participate, you may do so virtually. (See below for more details.)
Entries will be judged on successful unmolding and presentation. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Tasting notes are required because the Jell-O molds must be edible, and we love hearing your comments! Not open to previous Jell-O Mold Contest 1st Place Winners.
ONE ENTRY PER PERSON
REGISTER BY SEPTEMBER 14
For in-person entrants:
Contest will be held in Wedgwood (address will be sent with registration confirmation) on Thursday, September 18. Please arrive at 7:00 PM to set up your Jell-O Mold. Judging will be at 7:30. WHA will provide light snacks and beverages. We will also provide plates, napkins and spoons/forks, but please bring your own serving utensil. Also bring any accessories you like for presentation, but keep in mind there will be limited space on the tables. Register by September 14.
For virtual entrants:
Virtual entrants will need to submit a very brief video or photo collage entry showing the unmolded creation in its full glory AND visual proof that some brave soul sampled the creation, also providing "tasting notes". Register by September 14 and submit your entries between registering and September 18 at 5:00 PM CST. Send your virtual entry to: wedgwoodhistoricalassociation@gmail.com, subject line "Jell-O Mold 2025 Virtual".
Join us for our next lecture session focusing on topics from historic preservation to the architecture of Wedgwood. The events are free, but we will be accepting donations.
